1.1. Domain

The domain name is the name, under which your Internet page will be published in the World Wide Web. For example the domain of Yahoo is yahoo.com, the domain of Guvech is gbg.bg, The term is coming from the English word domain - area, territory, sphere, scope.
 
Every web site in internet has IP-address, this actually is the address number of the computer, on which physically is disposed the web site. The IP-address is a row of numbers, the same as a telephone number /ex 87.120.40.4/. Because it is difficult for the people to remember all these numbers, the domain system is used.   

If you have in mind appropriate name for your site, we recommend you to buy it immediately, in order to avoid somebody else to register it before you.

1.2. Subdomain  

The sub domain is part of the main domain. "Hanging" for the main domain and is separated by it with a dot. For example, if you have domain.com, you can create different sub domains, likedomain.com, something.domain.com and others.

For example, Host.bg uses the sub domain web.innovatoria.com

1.3. What is Nameserver (Domain Name Server)?

Nameserver-s (Domain Name Servers) are computers, which contain data за всяко домейн-име в or each domain name in Internet and software, through which they are transforming the domain in IP address. The whole system, in which the severs are (Domain Name System) could be compared with telephone index, where the domains are names, and the IP-addresses telephone numbers.  On each domain names there is respective IP- address (Internet Protocol), created from 4 segments х 1, 2 or 3 digits (ex 129.68.0.208). The general task of the name servers is to open a page under an inquiry (writing the name in the browser and pushing enter) to transform each domain name in its equivalent – IP address. That all is necessary, because the human memory easily remembers names, instead of numbers, while the machines are working with digits.

To be your site easy to access in the net, your domain must has  given host addresses of at least 2 name servers, which are indexing the IP-address of your web site.
